The Fear

If there are any Friends fans out there, you might recall an episode where Rachel gets "The Fear." Don has recently required "The Fear" also. He lost his job and didn't have any real prospects. So naturally, we were flipping out... for about a day and a half. That's all it took for Don to formulate a plan and put it in to action. (And thank heavens for a wonderful savings account! If I can say anything good about Don's job, it is that it allowed us to pad our pockets for a rainy day!)

Don is amazing when he is motivated.

I love how his mind works. When he has a goal in mind, he can bring it to life. I have no problem supporting him in anything he does because I know he'll be a success. For that day and a half of flipping out, I was even considering supporting him through Golf University. I guess that shows how desperate I was. I don't even like golf.

But I love our new plan!

Don just had his first day of school today--Pre-Med. His goal is to become an anesthesiologist (wow, I can't believe I spelled it right on the first try!). If he can't get in to Med School then Don wants to attend Pharmacy School. This all means a lot of school, even more stress, and even more money.

BUT! It will all be worth it. And we figure it's better to be poor college students than just plain poor.

I already miss my friends horribly. My friends who are sisters, my friends who are kindred spirits, and my friends who I was just getting to know but am sure that we would have been girls-night-out-joined-at-the-hip-gabbing all night long BFFs.

I miss my family. My brother and sweetest sis-in-law, Shay. My Izzy. (Okay, Kelly. Don't cry, don't cry.) My Grandma Bev whom (who/whom?) I will miss terribly. I can feel Grandma Bev silently correcting my grammar right now. :) I'll miss seeing Aunt Chris-- she always brings a smile and leaves a bunch of love. All my extended family who I took for granted and wish I could have seen you more. I loved playing volleyball with my cousins--you guys ROCK! Of course our cousins/best friends, the Collards--yikes, I will miss you guys (Jas, Kam, Aub, Hunter, more Hunter, and Katie-girl).

I'll miss my church calling. Really, how many people get blessings for blogging? Maybe I can convince my new ward that they need a blog too...

I will miss St. Geoge, but I am looking forward to this awesome adventure ahead of me. Everything is an opportunity, especially since I have such great family and friends to support me (Don).

Everyone wish us luck!

Go Wolverines!

Kelly, I am SO proud of you and Don for bravely making this new start!! It's hard to embrace change, especially when it is forced upon us. I miss you! Already! But I'm also really excited for you guys to pursue what you really want.

Love you!

Best of luck to you, it's a long hard road, being a Doctors wife, but worth it in the end, or so that's what everyone keeps telling me. Study Hard Don!

I'm glad you emailed me! I am happy for you and your new adventure! I think it is really neat how even though opposition came your way you made a plan to get through it! It sounds like things will go good with both of your good attitudes! Of course there will always be obstacles that come up but you will endure till the end!!
