I've been thinking a lot about Donny lately... how we met, how we've grown, how we've stayed best friends for over 9 years... In fact, I was just reading my journal from college when I came across an entry dated FEB 14, 2001:Valentine's- Don spoiled me rotten. While I was in class he decorated my room with create paper and balloons. Scattered around the room was a ton of candy. On my pillow was a teddy bear and roses! He took me out to dinner at Boomer's and then bowling. At dinner he surprised me with a very nice gold bracelet with hearts all around it. Back at his place we ate pink cake with pink frosting--very festive! Oh, I have to tell you about what happened a couple weeks ago! Don and I were eating our usual Cafe Rio when I asked what he wanted to do after dinner. He said, "Hmm, I dunno... go ring shopping?" Before I could even use half my brain I said, "Psht, NO!" He caught me so off guard that I thought he was joking!!! I didn't know he was serious! And I was too embarrassed to say anything else so I changed the subject. But the next week at Cafe Rio I decided I was going to suggest ring shopping. It took all my courage and a penny fountain wish to ask him...
Don is amazing. I love him more and more every day! I am still wondering why he loves me. I give him so much crap--but if anyone can deal with it, I hope he can. Because he is the one I love and the only one I want.

I remember that V-Day 8 years ago. I asked him how much he was planning to spend on me (so I could shop accordingly), and I thought he said $8. Came to realize later, he said $80!! So that year I got a $60 gold bracelet, and Don got a pillowcase... yes, I gave him a PILLOWCASE for Valentine's! I am so amazed that Don has stuck with me...

Happy Valentine's Day to you Kelly and to Don and your cute family :) Love that you got Don a pillowcase :)
Kelly, that is a SWEET story. It makes me want to hear more!
p.s.-THANK YOU for the Valentine's treats, you sneaky lady!!!
Just so that every one knows, it was just before all this that I had decided to ask kelly to marry me. In fact the day that i knew Kelly was the one, was the day that she had her braces put on. her face was all puffy and she was miserable, and all i wanted was to be with her (I knew).
I Love ya Kelly.
Hey Kelly!! I love your blog! Your family is so cute! I love having little Miley in my class! She is the sweetest girl. You are a great mom and it shows!
